Our bakery stands out on the Gold Coast because we specialize in making the best authentic Turkish bread, crafted with traditional recipes and techniques that have been perfected over 25 years. Unlike generic breads, Turkish bread is known for its unique flavours, textures, and cultural heritage-each loaf reflects meticulous attention to detail, regional influences, and the use of high-quality ingredients that create a soft, fluffy interior. Our commitment to authenticity and quality ensures every customer experiences the true taste of Turkey, making our bakery a destination for anyone seeking genuine Turkish bread in the Gold Coast community.

Milestones

Since our founding in 2000, (AKA Gold Coast Turkish Bread) Gold Bakery has grown through innovation, resilience, and a commitment to quality:

  • Early Growth & Foundations:
    We began with home-based baking and collaborations with local restaurants and cafes, gradually expanding into a dedicated retail space as demand increased. From the start, we prioritized locally sourced and sustainable ingredients to reflect modern consumer values.
  • June 2021: Machinery Upgrade
    Responding to strong post-pandemic demand, we invested in our major machinery upgrade. This allowed us to increase production of Turkish bread and rolls, and expand our team to meet growing orders.
  • July 2022: Product Range Expansion & Rebranding
    With the installation of a new oven, we introduced sourdough and ciabatta breads, diversifying our offerings. To reflect our broader product range, we changed our name from Gold Coast Turkish Bread to Gold Bakery.
  • December 2023: Major Expansion & New Product Line
    We moved to a much larger warehouse to accommodate growth and installed a fully automatic flatbread production line. This enabled us to produce Lebanese bread, a staple for many kebab shops, making us one of a few Lebanese bread producers in Queensland.
  • 2024: Team Growth & Increased Capacity
    Our production capacity increased fourfold, and our team grew bigger. This expansion allows us to supply enough authentic bread to meet demand across the entire Gold Coast region, while maintaining the quality and freshness our customers expect.
  • Looking Ahead:
    We plan to further upgrade our bakery machinery within the next year and open a second bakery focused on Lebanese bread, continuing our tradition of innovation and growth under the leadership of director Zeynep Akpinar, who brings over a decade of food industry experience.
